Abstract

Parallel to the developments in technique of the videoendoscopic surgery the concept of "surgery of closed spaces" has been established and following surgery in retroperitoneal area videoendoscopic surgery in the neck also became available. In this study we report the first patient in Turkey who has been operated on with transcervical videoendoscopic surgery and in whom a parathyroid adenoma has been removed successfully.
